Ayven Keith Dennis is the hilarious, loving soul that blessed my friend Ashley Early with his presence as a Pokemon loving, hike-ready son full of vibrance and the wild heart that Kentucky boys possess.
On May 13th, 2025 Ayven was diagnosed with DIPG. DIPG is a very aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer that comes quickly and without much notice.
Both Ayven and Ashley both have had to endure things nobody should. These two humans are some of the most strong that I know, and Ashley's relent to making sure Ayven has had the most comfortable past few months is inspiring to say the absolute least.
On March 5th, 2026, Ashley shared this message on her Facebook:
"Ayven passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by Mom, Dad, and Big Brother. He fought so hard. He did not seem to suffer in the end. I don’t even know what to do from here. It doesn’t seem possible."
Per Ashley's GoFundMe, donations will help with expenses related to the situation Ashley is in. Travel expenses, medical bills, and making sure that they are as comfortable as possible is the goal. I will link all options to help donate to Ashley below.
When thinking of what could be done for them and the power I know the photography community of Kentucky possesses, I knew there would be some ready for a call to action.
